Virus Protection - Spyware, Virus, or Adware Program, they all share some similarities.

Viruses all share some similarity.

The difference between the three main categories spyware, adware and viruses, is spyware is software that is downloaded and in your computer they create a place where someone else other than the computer user or computer owner dictate what's happening on their own computer.

They record the several types of websites you visit and are later used by web advertisers and it is the major cause of all the unwanted e-mails that we receive, and this is why spyware is usually frowned upon.

More than frowned upon, it's hated and is th reason we all need anti virus protection.

They are considered to be much more intrusive than aware.

Spyware have their own separate executable programs, and they can record keystrokes and can scan your files as well as other applications such as your chat programs, cookies and web browser settings and programs.

Spyware can then send the information that it gathers to the spyware author.

Those authors then use this information for their own marketing purposes and advertising.

And you better believe that they can and do sell your information to unscrupulous other parties and advertisers everywhere.

On the other hand, a more legitimate form of freeware that is similar to spyware is adware where advertising materials which are packaged into a software program are usually installed automatically once you start a particular program or software.

They may download advertising contents as a particular application is being utilized.

It is more often than not these days that most of the adware programs take the form of spyware and they track and report user information to the programs authors.

Some signs of spy ware infections include the dreaded pop-up ads that seem to be never ending and not related to the sites that you are viewing and more often than not pop-ups from spyware are just advertisements about triple x sites or adult content.

If you notice your computer has been slowing down, it's probably a sign that your system and its other components are working on things that you don't want to work with and that you are in need of an anti virus program.

There are numerous types of software listed all over the internet designed just for this purpose, to remove adware.

I use adware alert at but you will have plenty to pick and choose from.

When your desktop begins to take a longer time to load it's also probably the time to scan your computer for possible infections of spywares.

And then there are the real nasty bugs, the viruses.

Viruses are the most destructive form of software.

They were designed and created for one thing only, and that's just to wreak total havoc on your computer and will try to destroy whatever they come in contact with and some will even initiate self replication and infect as many components of the computer's operating system or network as possible.

These days a lot antivirus software also provide the spyware and adwear scanning and removal tools.

Some however focus on locating and destroying or deleting spyware and adware programs.

Weather its antivirus software or anti-spyware scanners, they both search your computer, and they find unidentified spyware or viruses installed on your system and then remove them from your system as well as all the components such as your system registry and other places in your computer.

So it's a very good idea to regularly update your virus or spyware scanner to make sure your computer is protected from the thousands and thousands of spyware and viruses on the Internet.

Don't be fooled by those that claim that their products only contain adware.

There are some bad guys out there.

These adwares may be spywares in disguise and are just waiting to be deployed for them to gather your valuable information.

Your firewall systems help to protect you, and pop-up blockers minimize your computers infection and ensure the security of all of your computer files.

One last thing before I go.

E-mail is particularly susceptible to spyware and viruses in the form of attachments.

The best advice is never open attachments.
